When it comes to bottling honey, you'll love our Deluxe "Perfection-Style" honey gate. A standard honey gate is really not a great option for bottling honey, as it's hard to get a clean shut-off between bottles, and honey leaks out from a pretty wide space.
With our Deluxe "Perfection-Style" gate, the honey comes out where it's supposed to, and shuts off clean every time.
Well worth the money!
NOTE: If the honey you're bottling is above 80 degrees (Fahrenheit), the gate will drip every few bottles. On cooler honey, it's nearly drip-free.

Beth Herzinger Mine is installed in a HillCo plastic bucket, and has been darn near impossible to get opened. I've struggled twice now to do so, both times going back to the website to make sure I'm not missing anything because I cannot get it to budge. The first time I used some spray cooking oil as a lubricant and it worked (that was before I had honey in the bucket) - but now that I've got honey in the bucket I don't want cooking oil or anything else coming into contact with it. As stands, round 2 with a full bucket of honey: I can't get it open. Super frustrating, do not recommend.

Doug Atkinson A little stiff to operate but will not leak once closed. We'll worth the few extra dollars compared to the less expensive honey gates

Denis Neidrauer Gate operation is so stiff you have to hold the bucket down to open and close the handle. Would avoid for plastic bucket installations.
